For years, the Fuquay-Varina Woman's Club and the Fuquay-Varina Jr. Woman's Club have been faithful supporters of our department and our Child Safety Seat Inspection Program. These two amazing non-profit organizations work tirelessly to make our community a better place, and we are so honored to be on the receiving end of their generosity.

Because of their kindness, our staff was able to purchase new stock for our car seat program yesterday! Annual donations like these are essential to the success of our program and our ultimate goal: keeping the children of Fuquay-Varina safe.

Thank you both for your hard work and your continued commitment to our littlest citizens. We couldn't do this without you!

A huge shout-out and THANK YOU to Michelle Brazil and the wonderful staff at CDT Automotive!

Our team has been spoiled this week with delicious breakfasts for three days straight! From our staff on all three shifts to our admin and Fire Marshal’s office staff, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the bagels and cream cheese prepared by Stick Boy Bread Co. Fuquay-Varina.

We are so grateful for CDT’s generosity and their continued support of our department.

Today, we’re throwing it back to September 2021!

Captain Josh Sorrell’s daughters, Alexis and Hadley, then 13 and 8, were students at Main Street Dance, Fuquay in 2021. Their instructor challenged the girls to help get the community out of their houses and moving again after the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Captain Adam Lowe, Firefighter II Riley Prince, Engineer Lerado Anderson, and Captain Sorrell were more than happy to help the girls with their challenge. The video turned out great, and our firefighters loved hanging out with Alexis and Hadley and showing off their dance moves!

Fast forward to today: Alexis is now 18, a recent graduate of Harnett Central High School, and will be attending East Carolina University this fall to major in dance and choreography. Hadley just completed 8th grade and will be starting her freshman year at Harnett Central High School this fall, while continuing her training at Main Street Dance.
