Great software from a local company. Please try it if your department is looking for a way to improve reporting.

Happy to have Ballplay Bend Fire Department from Gadsden, Alabama on board with WatchRoom! They are using it to help their department submit to NERIS, keep track of gear, and stay ready for ISO evaluations using WatchRoom's ISO readiness tools!

BBFD responded to a structure fire on Kershaw Quarters Road this afternoon.

Once on scene a barn was found to be fully involved with fire spreading into the fields and woods nearby.

The initial call included our automatic aid Hokes Bluff Fire Department and Ballplay #1 Fire Department. Once on scene, incident command called for Glencoe Fire Department and Alabama Forestry Commission to assist.

The fire burned the barn and approx 15 acres.

Also on scene to assist was Etowah County Sheriff's Office and AMed Ambulance.

Thanks to Etowah County 9-1-1 dispatchers for the great job.

Thanks to Etowah County EMA for delivering drinking water.

Great team work by everyone involved.

Saturday night, BBFD was called to respond to a watercraft in distress on the river. Our Rescue Boat was launched from Croft Ferry Boat Ramp while Rescue 406 went to the area the boat was supposed to be to launch our drone. Etowah County 9-1-1 dispatchers were able to send What 3 Words to provide a location for the boat.

The stranded boat was without running lights, so the drone provided the Rescue Boat crew with exact location with overhead lighting to assist in locating the stranded boat.

Thanks to our members who left their plans, families, dinner, etc, to go provide help.

Images below show the zoomed image and the non-zoomed image from 400' above the water using the onboard spotlight of the drone.

While our newest EMT and fire chief were at the station working on some driver training, we got a visit from these very nice ladies from Etowah County Lions Club. They delivered a care package from Operation Gratitude. Thank you to everyone that took the time to write these letters, make the keychains, pack the boxes, and deliver them. We really appreciate it.
