🐶 Never leave children or pets in vehicles
🛠️ Outdoor workers: take frequent breaks in the shade
🚨 Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke
📞 Heat stroke is an emergency — Call 911
💛 Etowah County friends: stay cool, stay hydrated, and check on neighbors — especially the elderly and those without A/C.

Please be mindful that we are still in a very hot summertime pattern! The heat increases this week with heat indices, or "feels like" temperatures well above 100 degrees. Check on loved ones and neighbors, make sure pets have plenty of shade and water, and limit your time in the sun! Stay safe Etowah County!
