SPC Julia Craig combined her loves of cooking and serving her country, and wound up in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Outside of her military career, SPC Craig is a sous-chef in a French restaurant, attended culinary schools, has a goal of opening her own bakery. So why the National Guard? She says, “My life revolves around food. I even have a food tattoo. Obviously when they said I could go in as a cook that immediately sparked my interest. I thought, ‘Okay. I get to do what I love to do in the military as well.’ So, it’s kind of better for me.”
