9:16am Update: Water has been restored, but a boil water advisory is being issued.

We are aware of a water outage in the Cherokee Falls area of Blacksburg. Our crews are working to locate the leak and repair the issue. Updates will be provided as available.

Update 5:23pm. Power has been restored to the majority of those affected.

We are aware of an outage affecting customers to the west of the City of Gaffney. Our crews are responding.

Wrapping up summer stronger than we started through training, upgrades, improvements and collaboration.

This included:
🔹 Directional drill training to strengthen our skills and capabilities
🔹 Asbestos training to keep our employees safe and prepared
🔹 Baffle installation at Canoe Creek as part of our ongoing system improvements
🔹 Hosting a LEPC meeting to work alongside our community partners on emergency preparedness

Some work happens in the field. Some happens in a classroom. Some happens around a conference table. It all serves the same purpose:

To keep our people safe, strengthen our systems and better serve our community.

We are proud of the work happening behind the scenes at BPW and we are excited about what is ahead.

Kyle joined BPW in 2018 as a Crewman and has spent the past eight years gaining valuable experience, serving our customers, and becoming an important part of the Distribution team. His growth from Crewman to Crew Chief is a great example of the opportunities that come with hard work, dedication, and a commitment to learning.

Distribution Superintendent Josh Patterson shared:
“Kyle has worked hard to get where he is today and he has proven himself to be someone we can count on. I’m proud to see him step into this role, and I know he’ll do a great job leading his crew and serving our customers.”
