The City of Gaffney Fire Department is hiring!

Application Deadline is June 12, 2026.

There is a mandatory physical agility test and a written test on June 20th, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the fire department training grounds.

This week your Gaffney City Fire Fighters completed the first week of ventilation training,This week we focused on pitched roofs found on most residential houses.The training was held at our City Training ground where we used our adjustible roof prop made by Forge Fire Co. Thanks to all shift for you hard work !

Thank you Senior Centers of Cherokee County, Inc for allowing us to come and talk about emergency preparedness today!

Rescue 101 C shift, and the Fire Marshal were able to tell attendees about Community Connect, and smoke alarms and other ways to be prepared before an emergency.

Do you have a fire extinguisher in your home?

Being ready when tragedies happen pays off! Recently, a citizen was able to extinguish a fire in their home within our fire response area. No one was harmed and quick thinking saved a home.

We do not recommend that you go into a fire to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher; however, they are great to have when a fire happens.
