August 6, 2026 is Election Day! You must vote at your designated precinct. Polls will be open from 9am - 7pm. We will be announcing results at the courthouse on the square, as well as, posting on our website as results come in post 7pm. www.jacksoncountytn.gov under the “current election results” tab.

Republican and Democratic Sample Ballot for the May 5, 2026 primary election. All Independents will be on the August 6, 2026 ballot.

To the voters of Jackson County:

The Jackson County Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The following offices will be on the Republican and Democratic ballot:

- County mayor
- Trustee
- Sheriff
- Circuit court clerk
- County clerk
- Register of Deeds
- Road Superintendent
- County commission districts 1-6
- School board districts 1, 4, 6

The first day to pick up a petition for this election is December 22, 2025.

The qualifying deadline is February 19, 2026 at 12:00 Noon.

The qualifying deadline applies to both primary and independent candidates.

Petitions may be picked up at the Jackson County Election Commission.
