𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧...

Summer School began on June 8th for Wiles Elementary / Kanapaha Middle School. We knew that a flashing school zone light during the summer would confuse some folks, so we ensured that we put out the summer school enforcement information the week prior.

Here is the issue. The speed violations happening in this one school zone, while the school zone is active and the yellow light is flashing, are practically double what we saw for two school zones during the normal school session.

So far, we have seen over 200 violations in this singular school zone during the week of June 8th and those numbers aren't final for the entire week. We have also observed speeds as high was 45mph in a 20mph zone. It's very obvious that the school zone is active during these violations, because we regularly see video where the violator is flying by the vehicles traveling at 20mph on the opposite side of the roadway.

We are going to say it again...PLEASE STOP SPEEDING THROUGH OUR SCHOOL ZONES!

It's not only costly for you, but it's extremely dangerous for our children!
