I’d tie it to local schools and children’s dental care: Alachua County is reviewing $236 million in school capital projects, and UF/Gainesville Housing Authority are offering free dental care for children in GHA properties through Friday.

Good morning, Gainesville.

Today I’m thinking about our kids.

Right now, our community is talking about major school projects, the future of places like Citizens Field, and how we invest in the next generation. At the same time, free dental care is being made available for children from low-income families through a partnership with Gainesville Housing Authority and UF’s Saving Smiles initiative.

That is what public service should be about: meeting real needs, close to home.

Our children deserve safe schools, strong classrooms, healthy smiles, and a community that refuses to leave working families behind. We can disagree on politics, but we should never disagree on whether kids deserve a fair shot.

Gainesville is at its best when neighbors step up, institutions work together, and leadership focuses on people before politics.

Good morning, Gainesville. Let’s keep building a community where every child matters, every family is heard, and every taxpayer knows their money is being used with purpose.

They want us divided.

Left versus right.
Black versus white.
Rural versus city.
Union versus non-union.
Republican versus Democrat.

But the real fight is not neighbor against neighbor.

It is the have versus the have-nots.
It is working families versus political insiders.
It is taxpayers versus waste.
It is parents versus broken systems.
It is local communities versus the people who profit from keeping us angry, broke, distracted, and divided.

District 21 deserves better than race-baiting, class neglect, empty promises, and politicians who only remember working people during election season.

I am running because regular people are tired.

Tired of rising insurance.
Tired of unaffordable housing.
Tired of wages that do not keep up.
Tired of schools being used as political footballs.
Tired of government growing while families struggle.
Tired of being told to hate each other while the same insiders keep winning.

This campaign is not about dividing people by party, race, or background.

This campaign is about uniting working people around common ground:

Lower costs.
Better schools.
Safer communities.
Government accountability.
Insurance reform.
Respect for labor.
Protection for families.
A government that works for the people who pay for it.

We do not need a race war.
We do not need a left-right civil war.
We need a people-first movement that tells the truth:

The have-nots have more in common with each other than we do with the powerful people dividing us.

PROTECT CHILDREN. RESPECT PARENTS. REFORM DCF.
Children must be protected from real danger. That should never be questioned.
But families must also be protected from rushed removals, weak evidence, secret reports, false allegations, and government overreach.
DCF oversight should be stronger, more transparent, and more accountable. Before the government separates a child from a parent, there should be real evidence, fast due process, and meaningful review.
Family preservation should come first when it is safe. Accountability should apply to everyone — parents, agencies, investigators, contractors, and the courts.
Protect children.
Respect parents.
Defend due process.
Reform DCF.

For me, autism awareness is personal.

I am someone on the spectrum. I grew up in a time when many people did not understand what autism was, what it looked like, or how it affected children, families, classrooms, and communities. A lot of us were simply told we were different, difficult, distracted, too sensitive, too quiet, too intense, or too much — when what we really needed was understanding.

But I was blessed to have people along the way who saw something in me.

In elementary school, Miss Sue Burkett made a huge difference in my life. So did David Law. Teachers like that matter. They do more than teach lessons from a book — they help children believe they are capable, valuable, and not alone. Sometimes one patient teacher can change the direction of a child’s life.

Today, I am also a parent of a daughter on the spectrum. That has made this issue even more important to me.

I know what it feels like to be misunderstood. I also know what it feels like as a parent to fight for patience, support, services, dignity, and a fair chance for your child.

Autism awareness cannot stop at a symbol or a slogan. It has to mean action: better early intervention, stronger IEP and classroom support, more resources for families, respect for neurodiverse children and adults, and a community that sees the value in every person.

Every child deserves to be understood.
Every parent deserves support.
Every teacher who makes a difference deserves recognition.
Every person deserves dignity.

As a candidate for Florida House District 21, I will always stand for families, children, teachers, inclusion, and opportunity.

We may vote differently, but most of us are fighting for the same things.

Safe neighborhoods.
Affordable housing.
Lower costs.
Good jobs.
Better schools.
Strong families.
A government that listens and works for the people.

The truth is, Republicans, Democrats, and independents are not as far apart as the political noise makes it seem. Most families in District 21 are not asking for more drama. They are asking for real results.

I believe in conservative principles: personal responsibility, limited government, public safety, strong families, lower taxes, and accountability.

But I also believe those principles should serve everybody — working families, small businesses, seniors, parents, students, and every neighborhood that feels ignored.

Common ground does not mean giving up your values.

It means putting people before politics.

It means listening before labeling.

It means solving problems instead of making excuses.

District 21 deserves leadership with a conservative backbone, a servant’s heart, and the courage to work with anyone willing to make life better for our families.

We have more in common than we think.

Policy Platform: The Common Ground, Common Sense Agenda

District 21 does not need more party warfare. It needs practical solutions that help families, workers, small businesses, seniors, parents, and taxpayers.

Republicans and Democrats may disagree on philosophy, but most of us want the same basic things: a safe neighborhood, a good job, a home we can afford, schools that prepare our children, insurance we can survive, and a government that answers to the people instead of itself.

My approach is simple: protect freedom, lower costs, strengthen families, support working people, and hold government accountable.

1. Lower the Cost of Living

Families are being squeezed from every direction. Rent is higher. Insurance is higher. Groceries are higher. Wages are not keeping up.

I support policies that reduce unnecessary government costs, cut waste, review taxes and fees that hit working families hardest, and push for real insurance reform so homeowners, renters, drivers, and small businesses are not punished for simply trying to live and work in Florida.

2. Affordable Housing Without Bigger Bureaucracy

We need more workforce housing, more starter homes, and more options for families who want to stay in the communities they helped build.

That means cutting red tape, encouraging responsible development, supporting local builders, and making sure growth pays for growth without crushing taxpayers.

3. Jobs, Wages, and Small Business Opportunity

A strong community needs good-paying jobs. I support small businesses, trades, workforce training, technical education, and policies that help people move from survival to stability.

We should reward work, support entrepreneurship, and make it easier for local businesses to hire, grow, and stay open.

4. Safe Communities With Real Accountability

Public safety matters. Families deserve safe roads, safe schools, and safe neighborhoods.

Supporting law enforcement and first responders does not mean ignoring accountability. It means funding public safety, demanding professionalism, improving oversight, and making sure agencies serve the people with fairness, transparency, and respect.

5. Better Schools and Stronger Families

Education should not be a political battlefield. Parents want safe schools, good teachers, practical skills, discipline, opportunity, and a future for their children.

I support parents, teachers, vocational education, literacy, school safety, and real-world preparation so our children are ready for life, work, college, trade, service, or business.

6. Government That Works for the People

Whether you are Republican, Democrat, or independent, nobody likes waste, corruption, excuses, or being ignored.

I will support stronger oversight, clearer audits, fewer unnecessary layers of bureaucracy, and a government that is transparent, responsive, and accountable to the taxpayers who fund it.

Bottom Line

This is not about asking people to abandon their values. It is about recognizing that we share more than politicians want us to believe.

A Republican can care about working families.

A Democrat can care about fiscal responsibility.

An independent can be tired of both parties.

And all of us can agree that District 21 deserves leadership that listens, solves problems, and puts people before politics.
