We learned so many amazing facts about the owls that might be camouflaged in our own backyards from Elm Fork Chapter Texas Master Naturalist! Participants really got to be hands-on in this program and we are so grateful to the amazing volunteers who shared their knowledge with us! You might call us all a bunch of know-it-owls 🦉

Today's blog is about 101-year-old Mrs. Diana Bechtel who informed the Associated Press she had never voted and never would. https://cookecountylibrary.wordpress.com/2026/10/22/dont-be-a-mrs-bechtel/

The library visited students at Tiny Trails Licensed Childcare Facility recently for our
"1 2 3 The Story is Coming to Me" program! We had a blast reading sweet, silly, and interactive books together. Each child received a book for their home library thanks to a 2026 Better World Books Literacy Grant.

The library is so much more than books!

We want to highlight some of the services at the library to ensure you know what we can offer! You don't need a library card to use the computers or other printing related services. We love when adults use the library as an office- we are a free third space for you to utilize!

We love reading classic folk tales at Storytime! We enjoyed Paul Galdone's "The Little Red Hen" and learned about what noises chickens make around the world.

We are going to continue Friday Storytimes, so now families can choose if Tuesday at 10:30 or 2:30 or Friday at 10:30 works best to join us!
