Partnership for Strong Families Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is the lead child welfare agency in North Central Florida. Pfsf.org PSF serves judicial circuits 3 and 8.

Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is a community-based care lead agency contracted with the Department of Children and Families. While PSF is the Lead Agency for this community, we are by no means the only agency. For example, dependency case management services are provided by subcontracted providers (Lutheran Services Florida, Pathways Human Services of Florida, Camelot Community Care and CDS). And the local system of care depends upon the work of all of the agencies in the community.

Morgan, a foster parent with PSF, was excited to share: “Fostering has given me a purpose that I didn’t know I needed! I started fostering to help children and their families, and I ended up with so much more - an amazing village of support, a deeper understanding of unconditional and selfless love, and compassion for others that can only be learned by serving children and their families when they need it the most. Fostering is one of the best decisions I have ever made!”

As we wrap up National Foster Care Month, 50 families (chosen randomly) were able to receive gift baskets due to the generosity of community partners. Thank you to all our local partners who donated gift baskets and gift certificates for our foster parents! These baskets are just a small token of gratitude for the HUGE impact that our foster parents have on our youth in care every day.

Meet Cadence! She's part of DCF's Florida Youth Leadership Academy FYLA. FYLA emphasizes communication, personal growth, and building positive connections. The program prepares youth for success as they transition out of care.

Cadence’s goal is to enter Extended Foster Care (EFC) so she can receive continued support while pursuing her college education. She recently visited the Florida State Capital with FYLA to learn more about leadership skills and engaging in her community.
