Just a heads up- There have been several reports of a Juvenile and adult black bear in the forest. Keep your dogs on leashes, and if you see them, make noise. They don't want anything to do with us, and will head the other way.

State Forest Closure

Starting within the next couple of days, the eastern section of the forest will be closed for logging operations. I’ve attached a map with the area marked in red. Please respect the markings- there will be heavy machinery and falling trees in that area! Once I’m told how long the closure will be in place, I’ll let everyone know.

Please- bring your kids, bring your pets, enjoy the park!! But remember- there is no trash service in Conway Robinson State Forest. Please pack out your trash and waste! There isn’t a “poop bag” fairy that magically collects your dog’s droppings if you leave it in the parking lot. The only way it makes it to a trash can is if someone else picks it up, and takes it with them! That’s just not cool…

Happy Halloween everyone! If you’re enjoying the park this weekend, it’s gonna be windy! Watch for any fallen trees or limbs, please no fires/smoking in the park, and if you bring it in, pack it out!

Oh, and don’t forget to turn your clocks back on Saturday!
