Congratulations to our July 2026 DAISY Award Honoree!
We’re proud to recognize a Racquel, a nurse from the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center for outstanding compassion and care. A Veteran shared that Racquel consistently provided kindness, encouragement, and support during a difficult time, reminding them that asking for help is never something to be ashamed of.
“Kind, encouraging, polite, and went overboard in making sure my spirit was up. Such a beautiful soul to meet in a hopeless situation.” Thank you for demonstrating the true meaning of VA nursing and for uplifting the Veterans we serve every day.

VA is sending out new “Choose VA” postcards to help make it easier for you to stay connected to your VA health care and the benefits you’ve earned.
These postcards include simple reminders of how VA supports your health, your well‑being, and your access to care. It’s one more way VA is helping you stay informed and empowered in your health journey.
