Me, Katie, and the boys would like to thank the people of Hall County for the overwhelming support you showed at the ballot box.

Results are now official: 86.88% of voters have sent me on to be the Republican nominee on the November ballot.

It has been an honor of a lifetime to represent you at the Capitol in Atlanta.

We will continue to work hard to earn each and every vote in November. Now, onward to victory!

Cheers,

MD

Matt Dubnik is a first class legislator and an incredible advocate for Georgia families. Having built a stellar reputation delivering results for Georgia students and taxpayers, we cannot afford to lose this strong conservative in the State House.

The blue skies and sunshine were a blessing this morning as I stood with my friend Andrew Davenport and A New Veteran as they received a donation from FMGI during the grand reopening of Walmart in Oakwood. A New Veteran helps veterans navigate a system that is anything but clear and realize benefits available to them at no expense to the veterans.

Sometimes industries and schools don’t speak the same language, but SME PRIME has built a team that can translate, with great liaisons between schools and industry.

Yesterday, I was fortunate to get to see the amazing work of students at Gainesville High School in the SEM Prime program. I was joined by Representative Chris Erwin, Representative Matthew Gambill, Senator Drew Echols, and friends from Impact Public Affairs.

SME PRIME® (Partnership Response In Manufacturing Education) is the signature program of the SME Education Foundation. Founded in 2011, SME PRIME partners private industry with academia to build custom manufacturing and engineering programs in high schools across the country — providing equipment, curriculum, teacher training, and student scholarships along with funding for manufacturing-related extracurricular activities and program sustainability.

SME PRIME is the most comprehensive manufacturing and engineering program for high school students in the country.

What makes this program different?

SME PRIME is provided at no cost to high schools.

Curriculum is tailored to meet local manufacturers’ needs and aligned with state educational standards.

Foundation staff coordinate program development and alleviate administrative burdens.

Ongoing financial support provided to sustain program longevity.

God blessed us with an amazing sunset last night while we were at The Boathouse at Lake Lanier to celebrate alongside Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. At the Chamber's 118th annual meeting and gala, our community recognized these amazing businesses and individuals for all they do for our community:

Small Business of the Year - Murray Plastics

Family Business of the Year - LaserCraft Technologies

Community Service Award - The Georgia Mountain Food Bank

Distinguished Citizen Award - Glennis Barnes

W.G. Mealer Chairman's Award - Doug Carter

Congrats to all these on their well deserved recognition!

Today, we celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Did you know: Cinco de Mayo commemorates the 1862 Battle of Puebla, where Mexican forces, despite being outnumbered and under-resourced, achieved a symbolic victory over the French army.

Today in the United States, Mexican-Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo as a way to honor their cultural heritage and recognize their community’s contributions to American society.

Yesterday, I joined child care leaders, policymakers, my fellow legislators, industry advocates, and community partners for real conversations about the challenges and opportunities for the child care industry in Georgia.

The Georgia Child Care Association hosted the 2026 Child Care Impact Luncheon in Atlanta and I was fortunate enough to get to serve on the legislative panel with my friends Senator Kemp and Mark Peevy.

If you’ve followed me for long, you know my passion for early childhood education and literacy initiatives. That’s why I was excited to gather this week at Lanier College & Career Academy to celebrate Hall County receiving the Georgia Reads Community Award. Hall County as one of only 10 communities across Georgia to receive this recognition.

My good friends Scott Johnson (Chair, Georgia Council on Literacy) and Malcolm Mitchell (former NFL player, author, mentor, literacy coach, and Georgia Reads Coach) traveled to Gainesville to make the presentation of a $20,000 check to United Way of Hall County for their role in the partnership.

This award is designed to recognize the importance of community approaches that involve meaningful partnerships in achieving literacy goals. Through a partnership with Hall County Library System, Hall County School District, Gainesville City School System, Wisdom Project 2030, Interactive Neighborhood for Kids, United Way has been key in growing their literacy initiatives in our community.

Thanks to everyone for their hard work on this matter!

Extremely thankful for the Hall County Republican Party and their invitation to attend the candidate forum at the Civic Center. I'm proud of the event being hosted in the 29th House District this weekend.

There were candidates vying for 16 local, state, and federal offices present. Excited to report that their straw poll received hundreds of votes.

While the straw poll shows me in the lead, I don't take any vote for granted. We're out this weekend continuing to work hard to earn your vote, meeting voters on their front porch, making phone calls, sending texts, and placing signs.
