On Friday, August 28, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Chicopee Woods Elementary School and educate Mrs. Maloch’s class about the importance of responsible animal care and ownership!

We were so excited to help the students adopt 20 desk pets! Each new pet came with yummy food and a cozy little home to enjoy while keeping their new parent company on their desk. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to connect with young minds and teach the next generation about compassion, responsibility, and the importance of caring for animals.

A huge thank-you to Chicopee Woods Elementary and Mrs. Maloch’s class for welcoming us.🐾✨

FOSTER PUPDATE FOR SLIPPER ❤️🐾

Meet Slipper!

Slipper is a 6-month-old, 46-pound puppy who is still searching for a family to call his own.

Slipper has been spending time in foster care and is getting wonderful reports. He is crate trained, dog friendly, knows “sit” and “down,” rides great in the car, and is on the quieter side for a young dog. Most importantly, he is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people.

As one of our long-term residents, Slipper has been waiting far too long for someone to choose him. He just returned to the shelter in hopes of finding his forever home.

If you are looking for a wonderful young companion, come meet Slipper. He may be the perfect addition to your family.

Our shelter is overflowing with kittens needing safe, loving homes until they are ready for adoption.

We are urgently looking for fosters willing to care for:
🍼 Bottle babies (newborn-4 weeks old)
🥣 Mush babies (4 weeks old-8 weeks old)
🐱 Moms with nursing kittens

Don’t worry if you’ve never fostered before. We will teach you everything you need to know!

We provide:
✔️ Food & medical supplies
✔️ Hands-on guidance and support
✔️ A foster packet with helpful information and resources

HALL COUNTY OFFICES TO CLOSE, ADJUST SCHEDULES FOR LABOR DAY

Hall County’s administrative offices, courts, community centers, animal shelter, recycling center, landfill and libraries, as well as the Hall County Government Family Health Center and UGA Extension Office, will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Hall County compactor sites, as well as essential public safety and public works personnel, will continue to provide services as normal during the federal holiday.

As always, many County services are available any time online at hallcounty.org, including renewing a vehicle tag, paying taxes and finding a new pet.

HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY! ❤🐾✨

Meet Paula! Paula is an 8-month-old, 35-pound girl who is urgently searching for a family of her own. She is sweet, friendly, playful, and loves nothing more than getting attention and pets from her people.

Paula also does well with other dogs and would love a family ready to give her the time, love, and guidance she needs as she grows into her best self.

And Paula isn’t the only one waiting. We have plenty of wonderful, adoptable pets at the Hall County Animal Shelter who are hoping this National Dog Day, or any day, will be the day their forever family walks through our doors.

Please note: If you currently have dogs in your home, a meet-and-greet with your dogs is required before adoption. All adoptions are completed on a first-come, first-served basis.
