☀️ Today's VIN Verification Adventure ☀️🚗
Florida weather had me sweating before I even got started. 😅
Then came the fun part... trying to read a VIN through a windshield with sun glare reflecting from every possible angle.
I was leaning left, leaning right, squatting down, and squinting like I was taking an eye exam.
Client: "Can you see it?"
Me: "I can see something... let me make sure that's a 5 and not an S!" 😂
The VIN matched, the paperwork was completed, and another happy customer was on their way. ✅
People think VIN verifications are just reading numbers. Trust me, it's a lot more detective work than that! 🔍🚘

Let me tell y'all what happened during a signing today...
✍🏽 Me: "May I see your ID?"
I look at the document.
I look at the ID.
I look at the document again. 👀
✍🏽 Me: "The names don't match."
👤 Signer: "Well, it's basically the same person."
✍🏽 Me: "Ma'am... one says Jennifer and the other says Jessica." 😭
👤 Signer: "They're close enough."
Then she starts explaining why I should accept it.
At this point, she's trying to be the notary and the signer. 😂
✍🏽 Me: "I don't make the rules, I just have to follow them."
The signing took 5 minutes. The debate took 20. 🤣
Mobile Notary Tip: Your ID and document name should match. Not "kinda match." Not "close enough." Match. 😂

Today's notarization involved divorce papers.
Let's just say the signatures were the easiest part of the appointment. 😭😂
I came to verify identities, not witness Season 10 Episode 3 of Why We're Getting Divorced.
Anyway, documents were signed, stamps were stamped, and I made it out safely. 🤣
