Making Connections, Building Opportunities!

On July 11, 2026 the Alachua County Human Resources team was proud to participate in the Better Together Job Fair at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gainesville.

A special thank you to Wanda Santana and Priscila Candal for representing Alachua County Human Resources and connecting with talented job seekers from across our community. Throughout the event, they shared information about career opportunities with Alachua County, answered questions about employment and benefits, and helped prospective applicants learn more about joining our team.

Events like the Better Together Job Fair are a wonderful reminder that strong partnerships create stronger communities. We appreciate Better Together, St. Patrick Catholic Church, and all of the organizations that helped make this event a success.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth—we enjoyed meeting so many talented individuals and look forward to welcoming future members to the Alachua County family!

Congratulations to Tamana Ayoob on being recognized for completing the Alachua County Citizens Academy on June 23, 2026!

Through the program, Tamana gained a deeper understanding of how county departments, constitutional offices, and public servants work together to serve our community. On May 16, the HR team gathered at Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center for a truly special occasion—celebrating our soon-to-be new mommy, Kaylah, at her baby shower.

Hosted with love and intention by our very own Cassie, Kaylah’s close friend and biggest supporter, the day reflected everything we adore about Kaylah: warmth, kindness, and the ability to bring people together.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the park, the celebration was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and thoughtful details that made the day unforgettable. From fun games that had everyone smiling and cheering, to delicious food that kept everyone gathered around the table, every moment felt joyful and full of heart.

More than anything, it was a day about community—colleagues becoming more like family as we came together to pour love, encouragement, and excitement into this next chapter of Kaylah’s life. Watching her be surrounded by so much support was a reminder of how lucky we are to share these moments beyond the workplace.

Kaylah, we are so excited for you as you step into motherhood. Your HR family is cheering you on every step of the way, and we can’t wait to meet your little baby boy soon. 💕

On April 25th, members of our HR team had the joy and privilege of attending the wedding celebration of our dear Cassie and her sweetheart, Will. It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories as two wonderful people began a new chapter together.

The occasion was made even more special by having the ceremony officiated by our very own Kaylah — one of Cassie’s closest friends and trusted teammates. Watching someone who knows and cares for the couple so personally lead such a meaningful ceremony added an extra layer of warmth and heartfelt emotion to an already unforgettable day.

Seeing Cassie so radiant and happy surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones was truly inspiring. The celebration reflected the kindness, joy, and positivity she brings to those around her every day. From the heartfelt vows and happy tears to the laughter and dancing late into the evening, it was a celebration none of us will soon forget.

As a team, we are grateful to have shared in such a meaningful milestone and to celebrate a love story that is truly a dream come true. Cassie and Will, we wish you a lifetime filled with happiness, adventure, partnership, and endless love.
