🎉 Opening Day at the Office! ⚾
Our Office Recognition Committee hit a home run today by organizing a fun celebration for Atlanta Braves Opening Day. The team enjoyed classic ballpark treats like peanuts and Cracker Jack, and plenty of us showed up in our Braves gear to rep our home team in style. We love creating moments that bring our staff together. It keeps our workplace energized and ready to serve our customers with the same enthusiasm we bring to game day.

Nothing like a little baseball spirit to kick off the season and brighten the workday. Go Braves!

🎉 Great news, Hall County! 🎉

The Thompson Bridge Kroger kiosk has officially been upgraded with driver’s license and ID renewal services, meaning 100% of Kroger locations in Hall County now offer this convenient feature.

This is one more way the Hall County Tax Commissioner’s Office is working hard to bring essential services closer to you, helping you save a trip and skip the line.

In January and February alone, more than 52,000 America 250 (Semi-quincentennial) license plates were issued across the state. Specialty plates often serve as a visible symbol of civic pride, and this pace suggests they’ll be widely seen across the state throughout the year. Public visibility of the plate may help build awareness and participation in the upcoming 250th‑anniversary events.

Sold property in 2025? You may STILL owe 2025 property taxes. We are reminding residents that Georgia law holds the January 1 owner responsible for that year’s taxes, even if the property was sold later in the year.

✔ Selling a home or land does not automatically remove your tax obligation

✔ Prorations on closing documents do not count as payment

✔ Tax liability can transfer to the buyer only if the correct legal language is included in the sales documents

✔ Sellers must submit signed closing documents to [email protected] by April 23, 2026, for the 2025 tax year

🚫 Fake text messages are circulating that claim you have an “outstanding traffic ticket” and urge you to click a link. These messages are NOT from the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS).
Our office is sharing this because we’ve seen a recent uptick in calls and questions from residents who received these texts and want to verify whether they’re legitimate.
