In the fire service, "Keep the Promise" represents the ultimate professional oath—the silent agreement that when the tones drop and citizens hand over their children, homes, and lives, firefighters are physically, mentally, and tactically prepared to save them. Our department is dedicated to our community. Being a first responder isn’t a job for just anyone. You will see things you will never forget. You’ll see smiles and tears. You’ll see pain in its rawest form. You have to be mentally strong. Most importantly, you have to be ready for the next call.

‼️🚨MOVIE NIGHT UPDATE:‼️🚨

Though rain is in the forecast for tonight, we will still be having movie night, it is just being moved from the park to the Community Center! Activities will still begin at 7 and movie start at 8!

Galatia Fire was one of the many recipients of the IDNR Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant Award 2026. The department purchased 5 Stihl saws. This equipment will be used for everything from fire ventilation, to extrication and storm rescue.
