Pipers Gap Rescue Squad, Inc. We are currently operating three Advanced Life Support ambulances, one Light Duty Rescue/Utility Truck, and a Rescue ATV. The squad has 2 stations.

Pipers Gap Rescue Squad is an all-volunteer organization, providing high-quality EMS operations to an area of approximately 100 square miles in Carroll County, VA. We provide Emergency Medical Care at the ALS / Paramedic level. All members are certified in Emergency Vehicle Operations, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and as an Emergency Medical Technician at a minimum. Station 1, consisting o

f a four-bay garage, classroom, and day room. Station 2 consisting of a six bay garage with a classroom, crew room, and kitchen located on Glendale Road near the Blue Ridge Country Club. The rescue squad is dispatched from Twin County Central Communications (C-Comm). Anyone that needs help may dial 911 for the rescue squad.

EMT Class notice!!! We are in desperate need for more volunteers at the squad. Our call volume has superseded our current amount of members. We only require EMT certifications and 24 hours a month commitment. To put paid staff in Pipers Gap it will increase the county budget by almost 1 million dollars, so if you are able to give back please sign up for this class!!!

The ALS Refresher Course this weekend has been canceled due to the weather. Make up dates will be March 7 and 8. Please note that the AHA Courses that are apart of the class will now be taught the weekend of February 21 and 22. Please be safe and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.

With the incoming potential for significant winter weather a decision will be made Friday on whether or not we will cancel the first weekend of the ALS Refresher Course. If you have registered and left a valid contact we will notify you otherwise please watch this site for an update Friday evening. We have time in March to make up the required hours if needed.
