Starting September, 10th at 11am, we'll be having a free 10 week course to prepare students for the 128 question U.S. Citizenship exam. Individuals must register for the program in person, and commit to all 10 classes. Classes are in English and study materials are provided by us. Following the 10 weeks, students will participate in an 1-1 Mock Interview with the instructor. For more information, visit the library or call us at (832) 927-5470.

Interested in continuing your education or exploring new career opportunities? Join us for a Lee College Information Session at Galena Park Branch Library! Representatives from Lee College will provide an overview of the college's academic programs, workforce training opportunities, admissions process, financial aid, and student support services. Whether you're planning to earn a degree, gain new skills, or start a new career, this session is a great opportunity to have your questions answered and learn about the resources available to help you succeed.

To accommodate more attendees, this event will be offered in two identical 30-minute sessions from 4:00–4:30 PM and 4:30–5:00 PM. Attend the session that best fits your schedule.

Registration for our Fall 2026 adult literacy classes will be open from Jul. 31st-Aug. 31st. Visit the library to sign up for English or citizenship. In-person registration is required. Current students need not apply. Applicants will need to take an assessment exam when applying. Fall class schedules will be based on tutor availability. Feel free to call us at (832) 927-5470 or stop by if you have any questions.

El plazo de inscripción para nuestros cursos de alfabetización para adultos del otoño de 2026 estará abierto del 31 de julio al 31 de agosto. Acércate a la biblioteca para inscribirte en los cursos de inglés o de preparación para la ciudadanía. Es obligatorio inscribirse en persona. Los alumnos actuales no necesitan volver a inscribirse.
