Recognizing Revolutionary War Veterans’ Graves in Harlem Township Program – Saturday, August 29 from 7 PM – 9 PM

has been replaced with the following new event:

Cemetery Seekers Game – Sunday, August 30 from 12 PM – 4 PM
Location: Fancher, Harlem, and Hunt Cemeteries (Start at Fancher, return to Fancher) – Collect your goodie bag after seeking clues at all of the cemeteries.

This is a reminder about this upcoming public hearing on Monday, August 24 at 6 PM at the Village of Galena Chambers, 109 Harrison St. Galena, OH.

The Harlem Township Board of Trustees invites Harlem Township residents to attend a public hearing as the first step in the process of a proposed Cooperative Economic Development Agreement (CEDA) between Harlem Township and the Village of Galena. This is a reminder that the Harlem Township Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight, August 19, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Harlem Township Firehouse, 3883 South State Route 605, Galena, Ohio 43021.

Public comments will be allowed at the beginning and end of each Board of Trustees meeting, as well as during any public hearing. Attendees are encouraged to use the time at the beginning of the meeting to provide comments on agenda items, as time will not be available for audience discussion while the business portion of the meeting is in session.

The August Communications Committee Meeting has been cancelled. The committee will reconvene at its regularly scheduled time in September and that meeting is also available on Zoom.

Riga and Family LLC on Woodtown Road, Galena Oh. 43021 are seeking to rezone 5.984 acres, Parcel #316-220-01-092-010 from AR-1 to FR-1.

The hearing will be on September 8, 2026, at 7:50 PM at the Harlem Township Building, 3883 South State Rt 605, Galena, Ohio 43021.
