1969 – Rescue Box 30-18, Rt. 290 & 301 – Ambulance 33 on the fatal MVC, one fatality.

1999 – Fire Box 30-13, Rt. 213 – Brush 3, Engine 3-1 & Tanker 3 on the field fire. Mutual aid received from Kennedyville. IC – Deputy Chief John Dwyer.

2010 – Brush 3, Engine 3 & Tanker 3 mutual aid to Millington on the field fire, Big Stone Rd.

2012 – Fire Box 30-9, Rt. 290, between Irelands Corner Rd. & Duck Puddle Rd. – Brush 3, Command 3, Engine 3, Rescue Pumper 3, Tanker 3 & Utility 3 on the large field fire. Mutual aid received from Millington, Kennedyville, Betterton, Chestertown, K&QA Rescue Squad, Cecilton, Hacks Point, Chesapeake City, Crumpton, Sudlersville, Church Hill, Townsend, Middletown, Odessa, Clayton & Smyrna. 1989 – Engine 31, Engine 32, Tanker 34 & Rescue 36 mutual aid to Community Fire Company Of Millington,Md on the structure fire, Millington Chesterville Rd. Cecilton transferred to Galena. Galena OIC – None listed on the incident report.

1992 – Ambulance 33 mutual aid to Cecilton Vol. Fire Co on the MVC, Rt. 282 & the Alibi Inn.

1997 – Rescue Box 30-10, Vansant Corner Rd. – Engine 32, Rescue 3 & Utility 3 on the MVC. Mutual aid received from Kennedyville Volunteer Fire Company. IC – Deputy Chief John Dwyer.

2018 – Chief Chris Powell reported that our ISO rating is now 3/3Y. Our old rating was 6/8B. This rating is effective September 1st.

2019 – Medical Box 30-4, Sassafras Caldwell Rd. – Ambulance 3 & Rescue Engine 3 on the Carbon monoxide medical emergency with medivac, two patients. Mutual aid received from Townsend Fire Company & Kent County Office of Emergency Services. IC – Captain Paul Berlen.

1968 – The Board of Directors made the following appointments – Vice President Carlton Wallace is appointed President and John W. Duhamell, Sr. is appointed Director to fill out the term of Past President Rev. Charles Hoffman.

1980 – Rescue 36 & Ambulance mutual aid to Community Fire Company Of Millington,Md on the MVC, Rt. 291.

1987 – Fire Box 30-2, Olivet Hill – Engine 31, Engine 32, Tanker 34 & Utility 39 on the house fire. Mutual aid received from Cecilton Vol. Fire Co & Millington. IC – Lieutenant Chris Powell.

1995 – Rescue Box 30-7, Rt. 313 & Quinn Rd. – Ambulance 33, Command 3, EMS 3 & Rescue 3 on the MVC. Mutual aid received from Millington. IC – Chief John Dwyer.

2002 – The fire company voted to purchase a 2003 Freightliner/American LaFrance/Medic Master for $154,383.00. This unit would be known as Ambulance 3.

2003 – Tanker 3 mutual aid to Cecilton on the house trailer fire, Crystal Beach Rd.

2011 – Engine 3 & Tanker 3 mutual aid to Millington on the house fire, Golts Rd.

2012 – Rescue Box 30-7, Rt. 313 & Quinn Rd. – Ambulance 3, Command 3, Engine 3 & Rescue Pumper 3 on the MVC. IC – Assistant Chief Mark Shaw.

2020 – The fire company held a drive-thru wings dinner. COVID19 is still in full effect.

1946 – The fire company set the carnival dates for – October 1st thru 7th.

1953 – The fire company held a carnival parade.

1970 – A boat was donated to the Fire Company. No more information on what the fire company did with this boat.

1992 – Rescue 36 & Ambulance 37 mutual aid to Community Fire Company Of Millington,Md on the MVC with medivac, Maryland Line Rd.

2020 – The fire company started having Fire Company meetings again with social distance protocols in place.

2020 – The fire company voted to sell around 5 acers of land to Jim’s Marine for $115,000.00

1953 – First night of the carnival

1965 – Chief Jack Dwyer reported that Maryland State Standards shall be met by July 1967. The fire company meets all the requirements except the equipment must be housed inside. Tanker 34 is currently behind the firehouse.

1965 – EMS Chief Jack Alfree reported that the new ambulance should arrive the week of the 15th.

1995 – Ambulance 37 mutual aid to Community Fire Company Of Millington,Md on the MVC, Rt. 313 & Unicorn Store.

1997 – Engine 32 & Rescue 3 mutual aid to Millington on the MVC, Rt. 301 & 291.

1999 – Fire Box 30-1, W. Cross St. – Engine 3-2 on the vehicle fire (engine compartment) with exposure. Mutual aid received from Cecilton Vol. Fire Co, Millington & Volunteer Hose Co. (Middletown). IC – Assistant Chief Jack Duhamell.

2000 – Rescue Box 30-13, Rt. 213 & Daves Hill Rd. – Brush 3 & Rescue Pumper 3 on the MVC. IC – Assistant Chief Scott Rodney.

2000 – Fire Box 30-14, Georgetown Yacht Basin – Rescue Pumper 3 & Tanker 3 on the mulch fire next to a building. Mutual aid received from Cecilton, Millington & Middletown. IC – Captain Gregg Bird.

2004 – President Jeff Haley reported that David (WaWa) Walters had the winning bid for the old EMS 3, 1988 Ford Crown Victoria for $351.70.

1977 – Maryland State Department of Transportation sent the money for the Rescue Truck.

1977 – Chief Jack Dwyer reported that the Hurst Tool could be in about 6 weeks

1979 – Rescue 36 mutual aid to Community Fire Company Of Millington,Md on the MVC, Rt. 313, 1 mile north of Millington. Galena OIC – Assistant Chief Joe Woodall.

1983 – Rescue 36 mutual aid to Kennedyville Volunteer Fire Company on the MVC with rescue, Rt. 298 & 448. Galena OIC – Lieutenant Pat Powell.

1983 – Rescue 36 mutual aid to Kennedyville on the MVC, Rt. 213, south of Rt. 444. Galena OIC – Assistant Chief Jack Duhamell.

1983 – The fire company voted to purchase a new tanker. 1984 International/Barton American/Tech-Weld. It would have a 750 GPM pump & 4,400 gallons of water

1984 – Rescue Box 30-82, Rt. 301, at the 120 mile-marker – Engine 32, Ambulance 33, Rescue 36 & Ambulance 37 on the MVC involving a National Guard vehicle. IC – Chief John Dwyer.

1994 – The fire company voted to sell old firehouse for $110,000.00.

1994 – EMS 3, 1988 Ford Crown Victoria was placed in service.

2006 – Rescue Box 30-12, Duck Puddle Rd. – Ambulance 3 & Rescue Pumper 3 on the MVC with medivac involving a sked steer. Mutual aid received from Kent EMS. IC – Deputy Chief Gregg Bird.

2019 – Tower 3 mutual aid to Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company on the house fire, Mount Vernon Ave.

1972 – Secretary Michael L. Boyd resigned from the position of Secretary. He resigned because he joined the United States Marine Corp.

1974 – Ambulance mutual aid to Volunteer Hose Co. (Middletown) on the MVC, Rt. 301 at the DE/MD state line.

1974 – Fire Box 30-5, Golts – Engine 31, Engine 32, Tanker 34 & Rescue 36 on the trash fire. IC – Chief Jack Dwyer.
