🎃 Would You Enter a Pumpkin Cook-Off? 🎃

We’re planning a Bingo Night on Friday, October 30 from 6:00–9:00 PM, and we’re thinking about adding a Pumpkin Cook-Off to the fun!

Before we make it official, we want to see who would be interested in participating. Sweet, savory, creative — if it has pumpkin, we want to hear about it! 🎃

Beginning Thursday, August 27, 2026, a contractor will be completing resurfacing work on both sections of Irelands Corner Road in Galena.

Both sections of the roadway will be closed while paving operations are in progress. Work is expected to take place throughout the day on Thursday, August 27, and Friday, August 28.

Residents and motorists in the area should plan ahead and allow additional time for travel or seek alternate routes when possible.

Galena Town hall will be closing today at 3:30pm and reopen at 9:00 am Friday morning. You may use the mail slot on the side door for water bills or come in the office Friday.

The Mayor & Council of Galena have adopted Ordinance 2026-07, which amends Chapter 131 of the Town Code to prohibit the deposit of grass clippings, leaves, and other yard debris on public streets, sidewalks, gutters, storm drains, and other public rights-of-way.

The ordinance was adopted on August 3, 2026, and is available for public review during normal business hours at Town Hall (101 S. Main Street) or at https://townofgalena.com/legislation

🎉 TOMORROW! Galena Youth Market 🎉

Join us tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at Galena Town Hall (101 S. Main Street) for our very first Galena Youth Market!

We have 25 youth entrepreneurs signed up and ready to showcase their amazing handmade crafts, baked goods, treats, artwork, 3D prints, and so much more. Come out and support these incredible young business owners—you never know what unique treasures you’ll find!

🚗 PLEASE READ – PARKING INFORMATION
Parking at Town Hall is first come, first served. Once the Town Hall lot is full, please do not park in private business parking lots, as those spaces are reserved for their customers.

Additional parking is available:
✅ Along Town-owned streets (please obey all posted parking signs & restrictions and do not block driveways)
✅ At the Galena Community Park, 105 Sycamore Lane (just a short walk to Town Hall)
