On the last day of camp, our detectives finished their crime scenes and prepared evidence, witness reports, and victim and suspect profiles. The boxes were brought to Alice Acres Farm where student detectives shared their scenarios and evidence and sought help solving the cases from peers. And finally, Mrs. Kelley, our terrific lead detective/teacher treated everyone to ice cream!

Busy day! Impressions, imprints and DNA. Activities included tire tracks, shoe impressions, teeth marks, DNA-inspired beaded bracelets/backpack adornments and extracting DNA from bananas.

Today we studied fibers, fluorescence, blood spatter, blood typing, and tool mark patterns. No real blood was used.
