GCFD was out on multiple trees down and Powerlines down. Crews spent their evening cutting trees apart and opening up roads for you. We currently have a few power lines still down, barricades up and caution tape waving. PLEASE DONT CROSS THESE LINES!!!! They are there for a reason. The area behind these barricades are dangerous, hence why it’s blocked off. Please be aware of down Powerlines and trees. Stay safe!!!

Just as a reminder, Galesburg Charleston Fire department will be testing the tornado sirens today April 4, at 1:00pm. You will see GCFD personnel at each tower to positively verify that each tower activates. We will test these weather sirens on the first Saturday of each month throughout the warmer season to ensure they are ready for a weather event. Please let us know if you have any questions!
