Local Knox County progressives might not be aware that twice a month there is an informal social group called Drinking Liberally (nice pun, eh?) meeting at Fat Fish Pub, 158. N. Broad, in Galesburg. For fun and friendship, to share our views, talk politics, get to know each other - it's open to anyone who wants to come. Fat Fish is a lovely pub with great craft beers and excellent food.
Please feel free to join us. We meet the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 5:30 pm. Tonight is the last for June.
We have a special event tonight too - a poetry reading by Rich Hanson, a longtime member of Drinking Liberally and a political progressive. Come on out tonight and enjoy some good beer, good food, good company and good words - hope to see you there!
