Mental Health Awareness Month may end — but the work doesn’t.

Thank you to every provider, advocate, policymaker, and person with lived experience who shares our commitment to a stronger behavioral health system in Illinois. IARF will keep pushing — for workforce investment, Medicaid adequacy, parity enforcement, and community-based care — every month of the year. We’re grateful for this community.

What's a CCBHC — and why does it matter for Illinois?

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics are a specialized model of care required to provide a comprehensive range of services — from crisis care and outpatient therapy to peer support, primary care screening, and substance use treatment — to anyone who walks through the door, regardless of diagnosis or insurance status.

Illinois is building something important here. IARF supports full, sustainable CCBHC implementation — and the Medicaid financing that makes it possible.
