Big things going on here in Galesburg, people have been reaching out to the unhoused, it warms my heart to see people showing them love, compassion and understanding!

It's almost a year since Jacob's Death. Yesterday I unpacked the few belongings I have that were his. His Burger King Visor still smells like him. His speaker brings back the dirt road memories, his wallet, which holds his ID and other various items. The spinner ring my husband gave him in 2018....

The tears rolled in.... but it's okay. It's part of grief. To honor Jacob, we are having a balloon release at the park.

Today is Jacob's 24th birthday.... It's his first birthday in heaven.
I miss him more than words can say, but I have promised that I would keep his memory alive. Jacob is/was my little brother. He is my son's world. Jacob used to spin my brother round and round. He used to fly my son to bed at night. They used to sit in the mustang together. There are so many memories of Jacob. But the best memory is of him telling me he loved me for the first time ever!!
