Tonight’s trip to Galesburg was supposed to be about a meeting and taking care of a little business. Instead, I was blessed with the opportunity to finally check something off my list: dinner at Two Brothers Cafe.
My friends and family have been telling me for a long time how good it is, and tonight I finally got to experience it for myself. My friends and I were practically arguing over who had the best meal, which is a pretty good problem to have! The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the company was even better.
If you haven’t tried Two Brother Cafe yet, I highly recommend it. Supporting local, small businesses is something I genuinely believe in. These businesses are more than places to eat or shop. They are part of what makes Knox County home. When local businesses succeed, our communities benefit.
As someone running for Knox County Treasurer, I want to be someone who understands and appreciates the people who work hard every day to build something right here in our county. That starts with showing up, spending locally, and supporting the people who make our communities stronger.
Now, I’m incredibly full… so I guess it’s time to go home and chase the dogs around for a while!
Thank you for the company, Scott Erickson - Knox County Clerk and Brian and Becky F. Friedrich.
