👏 Congratulations to K9 Officer Jacob Thompson and Detective Eryn Pearson! 👏

The Galesburg Area Crimestoppers has named K9 Officer Jacob Thompson its 2025 Officer of the Year, recognizing his outstanding work on a drug investigation that resulted in the seizure of approximately 8 pounds of methamphetamine and two fi****ms.

Detective Eryn Pearson received an Honorable Mention for her exceptional case work involving child sexual predators.

Congratulations to both officers on this well-deserved recognition! 👏🚔

A huge shoutout to Knox County Sheriff's Office, Illinois Chief Deputy Lindsey May for treating our 911 center to some amazing java drinks this morning! 🙌

Those delicious drinks provided the caffeine boost we needed to fuel our dispatchers and keep us going strong through the day. 🚨📞💪

🚨 Third week of school: GPD SRO edition 🚨😂

The smiles are still there… the coffee is working overtime… and our SROs are officially well into the “Is it Friday yet?” phase of the school year. ☕😴

All jokes aside, our School Resource Officers have been working hard and loving every minute of being part of our school community. From greeting students in the hallways to lending a helping hand, building relationships, and being there when our students need them, they’re showing up every day with dedication and a positive attitude.

We’re grateful for the time, energy, and heart they bring to our schools—and for the connections they’re building with students, staff, and families. 💙

Three weeks down, and they’re still standing! 😉
