Our Summer Library Program displays are up, the fossils are out, and adventure is waiting around every corner. Stop by and explore dinosaur books, prehistoric discoveries, and all the fun we have planned this summer!
Registration begins Monday June 8 and our kickoff is Wednesday June 10.

250 Years, 7 Counties, Endless Stories

Looking for a fun summer adventure? Try the 2026 WRLS Summer History Challenge!

This summer, we’re celebrating 250 years of American history by exploring the stories right here in our own communities. Visit local historical markers, museums, parks, trails, and landmarks across the WRLS area, then learn more using books, movies, articles, or other library resources.

Complete any three challenges during the summer and turn in your entry form at your library for a chance to win prizes.

It’s a great excuse to take a road trip, discover somewhere new, or learn something surprising about the place you call home.

LOCATION CHANGE: Our Summer Library Program Kickoff will be AT THE LIBRARY! The "Unearth a Story Magic Show" with The Magic of Isaiah is Wednesday, June 10, at 1:30pm. The weather will be so hot and humid! 🥵 We would be far too uncomfortable, and so would Isaiah. We'll be cool and comfortable AT THE LIBRARY. 🙂🎩🪄 Share and spread the word, thanks!

Have you seen the new additions in the back of the library yet? Two amazing spaces to meet with someone, or work alone in our privacy pod. The pod includes a power hub with a wireless charger for your phone, USB port and an easy access plug in for your laptop.

Huge congratulations to our students who completed the Reading Without Walls challenge! They explored new cultures, learned about diverse experiences, and expanded their horizons through the power of books.

Summer is here! Stop by the library, sit on our bench and slow down for a few minutes to admire our beautiful planters ♥🌷 Thank you Sunset Gardens for your amazing work ~ the bench and planters are made possible through donations from Ray and Deb Riggen, Sunset Gardens and Friends of the Library.

Reminder: Galesville Public Library will be closed Saturday–Monday for Memorial Day weekend. We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend! 🇺🇸📚

Just because our doors are closed doesn’t mean access stops. Don’t forget you can still use our pickup lockers and enjoy eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more through the WRLS app and Wisconsin’s Digital Library. If you would like your holds placed in the pickup lockers please call by 5 pm Friday.
