This week firefighters from several fire departments came together for a Haz-Mat Technician course at Jefferson Twp Fire Department. After a week of classroom and hands on work, students ran through 3 different scenarios where skills and knowledge learned were put to the test. Thanks Bad Day Training for the instruction!
Thanks Bucyrus Fire Local 1120, Crestline Fire Department, Tiffin Fire/ Rescue, BST&G Fire, and Jefferson Twp Fire for participation in this training.

Through hours of research and looking at several different squads. We found a very sharp, suitable replacement for old 851. This new unit allows us to have 2 ALS capable units to respond to calls in Jefferson Twp and surrounding areas, that may require our assistance. Thanks to the Jefferson Twp Trustees and our loyal residents who continue to support our levies. Without you guys none of this would be possible! Photo is a sneak peek before she gets her decals!

Busy morning for Jefferson Twp Fire Department. Early this morning, JTFD, with assistance from Crestline Fire, responded to a cardiac arrest call and transported one patient to the hospital. As JTFD and Crestline personnel were clearing from the hospital, a structure fire call in the Village of Crestline was reported, prompting Jefferson Twp to provide mutual aid to Crestline for the fire. All units were back in service by 6:00 am this morning.
