Iberia Vol. Fire Dept.

09/11/2026

Yesterday we had some members and their families walk the bleachers at Northmor High School. The individuals who walked the bleachers honored the fallen firefighters from 9/11. As none of these individuals were firefighters when that tragic event took place, it is still something that we as a department will always look upon to honor those 343 firefighters who never made it home.

We would like to take a moment and show some recent upgrades to our station. The bay floors were redone and a new logo was placed in the floor. Thank you to the Iberia Joint Fire District fire board for continuing to make some much needed upgrades. Stay tuned for the next round of up grades.

I would like to give a shout out to some people who have helped make some much needed changes. First we would like to thank Dustin Good, Kyle Pfleiderer and their families for helping to put our new hose racks together. We would also like to thank our board for purchasing and helping us make things better and more efficient. Last but not least, we would like to thank Alexis Fire trucks for fixing our tanker that suffered an accident about 18 months ago. We were able to get some much needed upgrades to the truck to better enhance our fleet. The truck has been a long process to get repaired, but thank you to Jeff Huber with Alexis fire Trucks.
