We’re hitting the streets to feed children and youth this summer! 🥪🍪🧃🍎🚙

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in June and July, we’ll be at 8 locations offering grab-n-go meals (breakfast and lunch) to children 18 and younger!

We’ll park at each location for 15 minutes before traveling to the next. Check the times for each location. Drive up, walk up, and spread the word!!

We are incredibly honored to announce that Shafer Middle School has been voted the BEST Middle School in Sumner County in the Main Street Awards!

This recognition means so much because it comes directly from the community we are SO proud to serve each and every day. Thank you to our families, students, staff, and supporters for believing in the work happening at Shafer.

Our teachers and staff pour their hearts into creating meaningful opportunities for students, building strong relationships, and maintaining high expectations for learning and growth. They show up and grind day in and day out. Our students continue to represent the Green Wave with pride, resilience, and excellence — and this award belongs to ALL of you.

We would like to congratulate our two retirees from Shafer Middle School. Ms. Terry Shepherd and Mrs. Leota Roberts have touched countless lives over the years.

Thank you both for the time, care, encouragement, and positivity you brought to students, staff, and families each and every day. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls and will continue for years to come.

As you begin this exciting new chapter, may your retirement be filled with joy, relaxation, travel, laughter, and all the things you love most. You will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.
