Migration Alert!
for the night of 26 Aug 2026

The BirdCast model predicts high-intensity bird migration over your region tonight. Large numbers of birds will be flying overhead!
It is estimated that over 1 billion birds die from collision with glass every year in the United States alone. To protect birds, BirdCast and partners recommend turning lights out from dusk tonight through dawn tomorrow morning, and treating glass around your home or business.

We're staying open!! No water fountain until the boil order is lifted. No toilets while the water is turned off. But, other than that--business as usual! Happy Back-to-School to our county children!

We LOVE seeing kids using their imaginations to create fun! These three had lots of fun building with Keva blocks this afternoon. (Half the tower fell just as we were headed to take a picture.🤪). Children 10 and older may be at the library without an adult.

Join us at 4pm today to sign up your student for the opportunity to learn to code. An adult (parent/guardian) is required at the sign up meeting this afternoon. Join us with your young learner at 4pm to take advantage of this opportunity.

GWC-DIG IN, Coding for Kids, will be a new program for 3rd-5th graders beginning in September. Parental/Gaurdian permission is required to sign up for the program. Join us on Wednesday at 4pm with your student to learn more and sign up.
