ALL registered voters will soon receive an absentee application from the State of Ohio. You are free to use that application if you vote absentee. Some non-profits are also mailing out applications. If you receive both, you only need to fill out one to receive your ballot by mail. If you do not wish to vote by mail, disregard these and stop by our office during early voting hours beginning October 6th, or at your polling location on election day (November 3rd). Send your applications to our office at:

📅 Important Deadlines:
➡️Applications for absentee ballots to be mailed for November 3 General Election must be received by the board of elections by close of business day on October 27th. Applications received after this time cannot be processed to send out a ballot.

➡️Ohio law requires all mail-in absentee ballots to be received by your county board of elections by 𝟕:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝, there’s no post-Election Day grace period for most ballots.

Ohio, including Gallia County, is doing its part to keep elections . Bipartisan oversight and chain of custody, thorough equipment testing, and continuous list maintenance are all critical pieces of the process.

✅ Every vote is recorded on voter-verified paper
✅ Every election is hand-count audited for accuracy
✅ Voter rolls are continuously maintained and kept up to date
✅ All machines used are tested for accuracy prior to use before every election
✅ Voting equipment is sealed and stored behind double-locked doors and video surveillance
✅ All is done by a bipartisan team to ensure fairness and accountability

We are working to be ready for November here in Gallia County. We are doing our part to ensure we continue to have safe, secure, and accurate elections for the citizens we serve.

You may have received one of these letters. We have been fielding calls this afternoon from several concerned, REGISTERED voters in Gallia County. This is NOT from our board or the Ohio Secretary of State's Office. If you have any questions about your registration, call or stop by our office to check. You can also go online at voteohio.gov and verify.

It has been brought to our attention that some of our Morgan County voters may have received this notice in the mail.....please know that this DID NOT come from our office!!! If you should want to verify your voter registration please do so by calling our office or online at:
