🏀 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧 & 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬! ⚽

The Gallia County Health Department is excited to share the success of our 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢-𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭!

Through this funding, we were able to provide 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 with physical activity equipment to encourage students to get moving, stay active, and have fun!

Each school received a variety of equipment, including basketballs, soccer balls, hula hoops, jump ropes, and other fun activities to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits.

We know that staying active plays an important role in children's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By providing these resources, we hope to encourage more opportunities for movement, active play, and healthy choices throughout the school day.

💙 𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 for welcoming us and helping make this project a success! We are excited to see these supplies put to good use!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

This month is an important reminder to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage routine screenings, and support those who have been impacted by the disease.

Early detection can make a difference. Know your risk, be familiar with changes in your body, and talk with your healthcare provider about when breast cancer screening is right for you.

💗 We honor survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside everyone currently facing breast cancer.

Take care of yourself — and encourage the women in your life to do the same.

Meningitis can be a serious and sometimes life-threatening illness, but vaccines are available to help prevent several common bacterial causes, including meningococcal disease.

Keeping up with recommended vaccinations is especially important for 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸.
