June 27-28, 2026 at the Galloway Township Municipal Complex participated in an Amateur Radio Field Day

Galloway OEM joined Atlantic County Auxcomm and ACURA amateur radio club for Field Day. Amateur radio operators joined thousands of other operators across North America to make as many contacts as possible utilizing multiple methods of radio communication.

OEM used this opportunity to simulate a mass phone failure. We employed the amateur radio operators act as our Emergency Operations Center to maintain contact with other EOC’s throughout the state.

OEM also worked with our local healthcare facilities by supplying them with CEDRON portable radios. This would allow them to continue to call for public safety services if phone service failed due to a cyberattack or natural disaster.
