The Galloway Township Police Department family stands shoulder to shoulder with the members of the Atlantic City Police Department and the entire New Jersey Police Community in supporting and praying for a full and speedy recovery for the two Officers who were senselessly shot while performing their duties today.

Our thoughts also go out to the families and loved ones of these Officers. May they find a small amount of peace and solace from the support of the entire Law Enforcement community.

In light of these events, a gofundme has been set up to support the recovery of one of the involved Officers. If anyone is looking for a way to assist, they can click the link below.

𝗟𝗣𝗚𝗔 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗!

Beginning Wednesday, May 27th through Sunday, May 31st, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) will host the ShopRite LPGA Classic at Seaview Country Club.

On Wednesday and Thursday, motorists can expect minor delays on Route 9 near Seaview Country Club as Pro-Am events take place throughout the day. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, tournament play will begin, and motorists should anticipate heavier traffic and longer delays due to the increased volume of vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area.

Motorists looking to avoid congestion are encouraged to utilize Pitney Road as an alternate route instead of Route 9. Anyone traveling on Route 9 is reminded to drive with extreme caution to help ensure the safety of pedestrians, police officers, and fellow motorists.

Those attending the event should avoid all designated “No Parking Zones” near Seaview Country Club. Event parking will be available at the Galloway Township Municipal Complex, located at 300 E. Jimmie Leeds Road, where shuttle service will be provided to and from the tournament.

The Galloway Township Police Department reminds everyone to drive safely and enjoy the weekend. We are looking forward to another great year hosting the LPGA in Galloway Township!
