United Way of Galveston brought partners together including Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Galveston County Food Bank, Galveston Urban-Ministries, M. I. Lewis Social Service Center, and St. Vincent's House to raise awareness around this need + help local families prepare

Today we teamed up with Comcast to celebrate Digital Inclusion Week here in Galveston!

Led by Misha McClure, Comcast is making a real difference across the Houston area with mobile safety trainings and resources for families and small businesses.

At our Lunch & Learn, we got to see the WiFi Van 🚐 in action thanks to Isadore James, Adrian Franco, Alan Reid-Hart, and Justin Canas, and had a powerful conversation about digital equity.

We were also honored to have United Way of Galveston board members Brian Ray, Comcast Director of Operations, and Zahrah Ektefaei, Galveston Children's Museum Executive Director, joining us.

Big thanks to The Spot for keeping everyone well-fed, to Clinton at McGuire Dent for providing such a great space right next to the Comcast Lift Zone, and to Si Vo for capturing fantastic photos of the day.

And most importantly, heartfelt thanks to Comcast for making a $10,000 investment to expand digital opportunities in Galveston through United Way and our Partner Agencies.

Don't Miss the 2025 Dia De Los Mu***os Fall Fiesta in Galveston

Mark your calendars for our annual, Fall, fun-filled, Family Event.

Each year, LULAC 151 of Galveston put on the Dia De Los Mu***os Fall Fiesta, full of great entertainment and attractions. Bring the family and all you friends to this free event for live music, parades, dancing, raffles, kids activities, great food and merchandise.

Dia De Los Mu***os we will held on Saturday. October 25th this year, from noon - 9pm at the Old Galveston County Courthouse. Check out our website for information updates, event times, parade routes, etc.

Proceeds from this popular annual event are always used to support local education through our LULAC Scholarship program. We'll see ya there!
