Galvestonian Jackie Cole is heading to the White House for her efforts in greening Galveston!

GALVESTON — Former city Councilwoman Jackie Cole will be honored at the White House on April 25 for her efforts to replant 40000 trees destroyed by Hurricane Ike.

picture was just shared with us. It is as good as anything we have seen that shows the abilities of a healthy lawn to fight a drought. It was taken in October 2011 after the drought. The subdivision had severe watering restrictions (no water for landscaping usage). The green yard had used Nature's Way Leaf Mold Compost and MicroLife 6-2-4 for several years. The dead yard had used traditional chemical management.
