𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗹

With the new school year underway, the 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 is sending a clear message: 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚.

On August 18, 2026, the 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Appomattox Drive in Texas City. The 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗪𝗔𝗧 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 conducted the tactical entry into the residence in support of the search warrant.

During the search, detectives seized a significant quantity of contraband, including:

𝟰𝟱 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀

Of particular concern to detectives were the 𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, which were disguised to resemble 𝗲𝗰𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘆/𝗠𝗗𝗠𝗔 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀. The pills were brightly colored and designed to have the appearance of recreational party drugs. Testing of the pills was positive for 𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗹, highlighting the potentially deadly danger posed by counterfeit pills that may be made to look like something else.

The target of the investigation, 𝟱𝟬-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗹 𝗠𝗰𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 of Texas City, was charged with 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝟭 >𝟰𝟬𝟬𝗚 and 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝟮 >𝟮𝟬𝟬𝗚

The 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 has arrested 𝟰𝟲-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 of La Marque following an investigation into allegations of an 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 with a 16-year-old juvenile student at the 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿.

The 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 began investigating in early August after receiving a report from the Juvenile Justice Center regarding concerns about a teacher’s relationship with a student. The investigation was conducted alongside the 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 and the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹.

𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 is an educator with 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗦𝗗. During the summer, she was working at the 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, where she was assigned to provide educational instruction to juvenile students.

The investigation ultimately led to the collection of material evidence, interviews of multiple individuals, and admissions made by 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀. The findings indicated that 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 maintained frequent contact with the student outside of an academic setting and engaged in an improper relationship.

The facts and circumstance of this case were presented to the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office who determined probable cause existed to charge 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 with 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 and recommended a $100,000 bond.

An arrest warrant was issued on August 19, 2026 and 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 was taken into custody during a traffic stop near her residence by the 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁, with assistance from the 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁.

The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting the community’s youth and appreciates the collaborative effort put forth by the Galveston County Juvenile Justice Center and the Office of Inspector General.

Football season is a chance to make great memories cheering for your team and tailgating with family and friends. That’s why TxDOT is reminding fans to celebrate football season responsibly by always finding a sober ride through its "Drive Sober. No Regrets." statewide impaired driving campaign. The campaign aims to reduce the number of DUI-alcohol related traffic crashes, especially as fans gather across the state to support their favorite teams.

Too often, a designated driver is chosen during the course of the evening and is often considered the least drunk person in the group. The designated driver should always be a sober driver who has not consumed any amount of alcohol. Designating a driver, calling a taxi, using a rideshare service, staying where you are, calling a friend or family member, and using mass transit are the safest ways to ensure you do not drive under the influence.

One regrettable decision to drink and drive could turn game time into a DWI costing up to $17,000 in fines and fees, the loss of a license, jail time or worse. It just isn’t worth it.

The 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲'𝘀 ongoing multi-kilogram narcotics investigation has resulted in the arrest of 𝗫𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝟰𝟭, of Texas City, marking another significant step in dismantling 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆.

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻 was taken into custody for his involvement in the continuing investigation. Detectives with the 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲, working in coordination with 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗛𝗦𝗜), identified 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻 as a business partner of 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗱 in the manufacture and distribution of narcotics throughout 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆.

As the investigation progressed, detectives discovered 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻 was storing large quantities of illegal narcotics at a separate storage unit located at the U-Haul Storage Facility in La Marque. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 𝟯.𝟱 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲, along with 𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗹 and 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻 was later located in Texas City, where members of the Galveston County Sheriff's Office 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 safely apprehended him without incident.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻 has been charged with 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲/𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝟭 >𝟰𝟬𝟬𝗚. His bond has been set at $𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬.

The 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 remains committed to working alongside local, state, and federal partners to combat organized crime and narcotics trafficking throughout 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆.

We're proud to welcome our newest team members to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.

Today, we welcomed new members to our Corrections Division, Fugitive Apprehension Division, and Safe Schools Division as they were officially sworn in.

This ceremony was especially meaningful as it included another team member who made the move from across the country to become part of our agency. As we continue to expand our recruiting efforts nationwide, we're proud to attract qualified candidates who are willing to relocate and serve the citizens of Galveston County.
