REPΩST • It is easy to consider the material trappings and excess customarily associated with this very popular holiday when we think of Christmas. The gift-giving, tree decorating, travel, family dinners, and even the bright-eyed children waking Christmas morning with expectation all have their rightful place in its tradition.
The fact is that in many ways, it has taken the collective weight of a global pandemic to cause to shift from selfishness to service.
Even as we speak, during this holiday season, Brothers and Omega Chapters alike are mobilizing to offer food, shelter, clothing, and comfort to families and individuals who otherwise would go without life’s necessities. In the economy of Omega, we firmly believe that consistent benevolence and giving is the standard we should all seek to achieve.
As you go about celebrating your holiday season, Omega Psi Phi encourages you to continue to meet the needs of those in your sphere of influence and, when possible, throughout your respective communities.
Finally, the Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, would like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. May your goodwill and great works speak for you during both this joyful and yet challenging holiday season.
🎄
Help support our chapter brother Shawn “Country Que” Garvin in his effort to give deserving kids a very merry Christmas. Christmas 🎄

Moore and Friends PVU Football Camp for showing the young men that we sponsored a first class production. It was more than the kids could have imagined. Everything ran like a welled oiled machine from the pickup location at The Stuff Baked Potato Factory, to the police es**rt to PVU, chartered bus ride, food sponsored by Lucille's, The Breakfast Klub, The Stuffed Baked Potato Factory, the t-shirts and backpacks. It was definitely a class act.

Today, April 1, 2021, we celebrate 50 years of sincere service and strong brotherhood in Galveston County Texas and surrounding areas. Happy Charter Day to the Rho Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.!!!! Long Live Rho Nu!!!!
HISTORY OF THE RHO NU CHAPTER
The Rho Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated was chartered April 1, 1971 in Galveston, Texas. The charter was the result of the dedication and perseverance of three area Omegas, Bros. Leroy Sterling, DDS, Alvin Stevenson, and Thomas Warren.
The charter, initially applied for in 1969, was denied by the Fraternity due to a lack of the requisite number of members to form a chapter. Having eight of the ten members required to form a chapter, the brothers got to work and recruited two other Omegas in the area and reapplied for the charter in January of 1971.
The Rho Nu Chapter scholarship is named in the honor of Bro. Thomas H. Warren, who lived long enough to see the chapter become active and functioning. Bro. Warren was initiated at Fisk University in 1926.
The members of Rho Nu Chapter all continue to represent the fraternity's cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

February marks Black History Month, a federally recognized, nationwide celebration that calls on all Americans to reflect on the significant roles that African-Americans have played in shaping US history.
Dr. Carter G. Woodson, considered the Father of Black History, started what is now known as Black History Month as Black History Week on February 7, 1926. The son of former slaves, Bro. Woodson spent his childhood working in coal mines and quarries. He received his education during the four-month term that was customary for black schools at the time.
