EMERGENCY! FANS MOURN THE LOSS OF RANDY.

Today, the EMS and fire service community mourns the loss of Randolph Mantooth, who has passed away at the age of 80. Best known for portraying Paramedic Johnny Gage on the iconic television series Emergency!, Mantooth inspired generations of EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, and emergency responders to answer the call to serve. Randolph Mantooth Emergency!

For countless EMS professionals, Emergency! wasn’t just a television show it was the spark that led them to a lifelong career of saving lives. The series introduced millions of Americans to the emerging paramedic profession and helped shape public awareness of modern emergency medical services.
