As we close out we would like to introduce you to Nate! He has been a member since 2022, is a cleared Ambulance Tech, and is finalizing his ambulance driver’s training. He was also the recipient of the 2025 EMT of the Year award. Outside of the station, he is a full time college student and is in ROTC.

Meet Ambulance Tech Ally! Ally has been a member since 2025 and aspires to be an OBGYN. Ally is extremely enthusiastic and loves bringing baked goods to the fire house. Outside of the firehouse she is a pre med student and plays college lacrosse.

Congratulations to FFI Pessia for completing his Phase II probationary training and being cleared as an Engine Firefighter! FFI Pessia has worked hard through two phases of probationary training and final testing in order to be cleared to ride independently as a firefighter on the engine.

FFI Pessia is among others in his cohort finishing engine training and we look forward to continuing his training and others’ on the rescue squad.

Tonight marks an exciting milestone for the Arundel Volunteer Fire Department as we welcome 33 new recruits to our team!

These motivated individuals are beginning their onboarding journey, taking the first steps toward serving and protecting our community. From their first orientation session to the many trainings ahead, we’re proud to support them every step of the way.

After two years, our good friends at Cape St. Claire have just placed Ambulance 199 back in service, adding much needed capacity and capability to our county system - well done!

And just like that, after over two years, has a BLS unit again. This evening, we pushed the button to put unit 199 in service. About an hour later, we got our first call. Make sure you keep an eye out for us, even if we hope we never have to come visit you.
