🦞❤️ WOW… what a day yesterday was!!! ❤️🦞

We are still soaking it all in.. seeing so many smiling faces, welcoming new ones, and getting to spend the day with our incredible community truly meant everything to us. The love and support out there was something special!! 🙌🔥

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.
Thank you to every single person who came out, supported, laughed, ate, and made memories with us. And a HUGE thank you to all the hands behind the scenes, the ones you don’t always see. There is SO much work, time, and heart that goes into this, and we hope you know just how much we appreciate each and every one of you. 💪❤️

This year was especially meaningful to us as we navigated our first festival without Bernard. Thank you for your grace, your love, and for standing with us. Most of all, thank you for helping us keep his memory alive because we felt him there in every moment. ❤️🔥

This is Bernard Scott ❤️

If you ever came to the Crawfish Festival, you knew him, whether it was by name or by him riding around making sure everything (and everyone 😄) was exactly how it should be.

For so many years, Bernard was the heart and soul of our fire department and this festival. From day one, he helped build it into what it is today… and if something needed fixing, checking, or “supervising,” he was on it (and probably picking on somebody while he did it).

This year, our 19th annual, will be the first without him here and it’s going to feel different. We’ll miss seeing him driving around, keeping everyone on their toes, and making sure things were done the “right way”… or at least his way 😉

But the truth is, he’s still a part of all of it. In every detail, every laugh, every plate of crawfish, and every memory made.. he’s there.
We think about him in everything we do, and we’re so thankful to have something like this festival to carry on his legacy.

So this year, we do it just like he would’ve wanted. Take care of each other, work hard, laugh a little louder, and maybe pick on someone next to you… just for Bernard 💙🦞
