Wednesday afternoon, Wilton Fire along with automatic daytime mutual aid were dispatched to a working structure fire. Upon initial dispatch information, Car 720 requested FAST from SSFD. Arriving shortly after, C 720 confirmed a working fire. National Grid, Town of Wilton Codes, Cause and Origin and Red Cross were contacted to assist at the scene.

The quick response of all departments made for a quick knock down of the fire. Crews then switched gears into over haul and assisted the home owner with recovering property from the home. The Wilton Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone involved for your efforts during the incident.

One of our firefighters is battling cancer and we will be holding a fundraiser to help our firefighter with medical expenses. We are looking for donations of basket raffles, sponsors of food donations for the fundraiser and any monetary donations are appreciated.
