Volunteer Tim Olsen Team CAP ASAR VTOT named for late Chief Tim Olsen performs ASAR and Emergency support with California Civil Air Pa

VTOT is a remote northern California ASAR team attached to the Santa Rosa CA Composite Air Squadron 157th CAP. It is expected that VTOT will become a remote Flight group of it's own during 2015 operating out of Southern Humboldt County at Garberville Airport.

The Team will be renewing its membership in 2018, we are always seeking members who are reliable, of good dependable character when an emergency/catastrophe occurs where the Garberville Airport has to be inspected, secured for emergency preparedness for inter agency use during an emergency/catastrophe. Join the team locally and/or join the Civil Air Patrol!

Our fundraiser is the Ice Cream Social on Saturday after the Rodeo Parade in the Garberville Town Square! Winner of the raffled flight will be picked! Whee lucky winner! Our Tshirts will be available and some used farm goods may be auctioned while we scoop ice cream! It lasts about an hour so come join us!

All proceeds are toward emergency airfield communications and equipment. The Non-Profit Corporation/Public Benefit process with the California Corporation Commission for VTOT is getting another step towards reality. Thank You to everyone who has helped the organization become a reality to Southern Humboldt. In one year we have mobilized a local team and trained our Flight Line Crew for emergency preparedness. VTOT now moves toward the ASAR portion of our mission as we fund raise for communication and flight line equipment. Once we meet that challenge we will begin to fund raise for our first search and rescue airplane.

Mark your calendars! VTOT hosts its first community fund raiser for emergency airfield equipment! June 18th immediately after the rodeo parade at the Town Square in Garberville at noon we will be scooping ice cream, yogurt and gelato! Along with a wee farm goods auction to amuse yourselves! We invite you to bring out a used farm implement or some kind of farm goods that might bring out a bid or two to benefit VTOT. Warning: Men and women do not drop off your old lady/man thinking they're an old ho you'd like to auction. Leave message here if you have something excellent to donate for the cause!

VTOT Aerial Search and Rescue is collecting donations of auction-able used farm goods. Jarred fruits and veggies, still usable garden tools and stuff, farm clothes-repaired jeans etc. and anything farmy and likely to bring in some cash for the team. Our 2016 goal is to purchase emergency airfield, generator, communications equipment and a small enclosed trailer to lock it into. Team members are happy to pick up what you want to donate for this GREAT cause! Our VTOT Ice Cream Social and Auction will be in Garberville immediately after the Rodeo Parade this June!
