This National Police Week, we honor the men and women who put on the badge each day with courage, sacrifice, and dedication to serving others.

We also pause to remember one of our own, Corporal William Solomon, whose End of Watch was November 19, 2015. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his legacy continues to live on within our department.

Thank you to all of our officers — past and present — for your commitment, strength, and unwavering service to our community. 💙🖤

We would like to remind all Port drivers to always use caution when driving within or around our terminals. Last week there were 8 traffic collisions on Garden City Terminal. The most common cause of collisions last week was Failure to Yield. Please be courteous to fellow terminal users and always drive defensively.

Today, the Georgia Ports Authority Police Department would like to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible men and women who serve in law enforcement every single day.
To our own GPA PD officers and staff: your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to keeping our ports, facilities, and community safe does not go unnoticed. You show up day and night, in all conditions, and continue to serve with integrity, pride, and heart. We appreciate of each and every one of you.
We also want to extend a sincere thank you to our surrounding and partner agencies. Your teamwork, support, and cooperation make a real difference, and we are grateful to stand beside you in protecting our communities.

On this day, we pause to reflect on the life and service of Corporal William Solomon. Though 10 years have passed, his dedication, courage, and sacrifice continue to live on within our department.

We are forever grateful for his service and the light he brought to our department and the community he served.
